Watercolor Street Scene Workshop

A one day workshop to demonstrate a loose manner in which to construct streets scenes including structures, vegetation and people. Look to learn how to create lively colorful scenes with plays of light and lost space.
Students will be provided an image on watercolor paper on which they will create a value drawing. From the value drawing they will develop an underwash and then will develop a final image using quickly applied wet on wet layers and dry brush textures to render background, buildings, plants, and people.
Watercolor experience recommended.
Materials & Supply list:
Students should bring palette of colors they routinely use.
1" flat or oval
3/8" oval, round, or Kolinsky (preferred)
Fine Kolinsky or similar
A grey marker
A black marker or a 6B pencil
Instructor will provide an image on watercolor for student use. No need to bring paper unless you choose to. Students will also be provided flimsy paper to create a value sketch.
