Instructor: Lee Hill
Lee’s primary interest is capturing the essence of people, whether portrait or full figure, with various drawing and water mixed media and special emphasis on tonality and the play of light on the human body. She also has a long time love of dance, fantasy and storytelling, graduating with a major in illustration from Rochester Institute of Technology’s Department of Fine and Applied Arts in upstate NY. Retirement after 45 years in the work force and the release from some of life’s challenges has afforded her the opportunity to return to her original goal of creating every day.
Her professional career began as a public school art teacher in her native Binghamton, NY followed by positions in performing arts management, her other area of interest, as Education Coordinator for Opera Memphis in Tennessee and Executive Director of the Fort Collins Colorado Symphony Orchestra as well as volunteer efforts supporting the arts in each of the communities in which she has resided.
