A theme and composition element component will be presented weekly as homework. Compositions will be on 7 X 10 paper or 9 X 12 canvas. Personal choices of any medium may include: graphite, colored pencil, pastel, watercolor, oil, acrylic, ink or any other available medium.
A theme example for homework may be trees and the element component being development of planes, as a foreground, middle ground and background focusing of size, shape and values of a six-step value scale.
Classes each week will review participants homework using a document camera to project work on the monitor for observation and evaluation. A new assignment of theme and additional composition element components will be given during class for the next class.
To Register for a Class:
Please register and pay for a class at least one week ahead so instructors have a list of students and can prepare. Class sizes are limited.
- Use our secure website to pay for membership and classes using Venmo, Debit/Credit card, or Paypal.
- Mail checks to: Palo Verde Artists, 14801 N. 103rd Ave, Sun City, AZ 85372. Check payments must be received one week before the start of the class or workshop session.
- Bring a check to the club room and fill out the envelope for the desired class. Place your check in the provided envelope at least ONE WEEK before class, and put it in the drop box.
Classes are non-refundable on or after the first day of class unless the instructor cancels the class, then you will receive a refund.
